We are pleased to inform you that Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is mounting a multi-sectoral business delegation to Qatar & Oman from September 4th -9th, 2012 in association with Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (QCCI), Directorate General for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Oman and Indian Embassy’s in Oman & Qatar.
 
OMAN: India’s export to Oman grew from USD 630 mn in 2006-7 to USD 1.15 bn in 2010-11. Oman’s import on the other side grew from USD 458 mn to USD 4 bn during the same period. Some of the sectors identified for focused attention are Agriculture, Information Technology, Chemicals, Food Products, Education & Training, Manufacturing, Medical Tourism, Herbal & Ayurvedic Products, Healthcare, Real Estate and R&D. Oman is having more than half a million Indian population and more than 140 large Indian companies have a foot hold in Oman today.
 
In addition to our visit to Muscat, the 5th INDEXPO MUSCAT 2012, an exclusive Indian Trade Fair of industrial and general products is being organised for the fifth time in Oman from September 04 - 06, 2012 at Oman International Exhibition Centre, Muscat. FICCI is one of the partners in 4th INDEXPO MUSCAT 2011 exhibition.
 
The 5th INDEXPO MUSCAT 2012 will provide an excellent opportunity for Indian companies ( Manufacturers, Exporters, Traders, Service Providers) to showcase their products, technologies and services to the gathering of 50,000 Omani visitors, which includes industry representatives and senior government officers from Oman. The 4th INDEXPO MUSCAT 2011 was well attended over 100 companies from India. (Interested Indian companies may contact us separately for the Exhibition)
 
QATAR: India's export basket to Qatar is fairly diversified and includes Foodstuffs, Spices, Tea, Coffee, Textiles, Ready-Made Garments, Jewellery, Light Engineering Goods, Machinery, Basic Chemicals, Steel Pipes, General Trading and Consumer Electronics. India's imports from Qatar consist of largely of Urea, Ammonia, Sulphur, Ethylene and Polyethylene.
 
With Qatar winning the bid to host the 2022 World Cup, there will be huge demand in the sectors like; Infrastructure ( Stadiums, Roads & Bridges, Sports Infrastructure), Construction & Building Material ( Sanitary Products, Tiles, Pipes, Cables, Marble & Stone, Switches), Contractors, Energy, Sports Goods Supplier, Hospitality Industry (Hotels), Food Products, Water Tratment Mangement, PR & Event Management, Hospital  & Medical Equipment Suppliers, General Trading as it prepares to become the first Arab country to host football’s biggest tournament.

In view of the business opportunities offered by Oman & Qatar and your business interests in the region, we invite you to participate in the delegation. In case you are preoccupied, you may please depute a senior representative from your organisation for the same.
 
To defray a part of the expenses such as printing of who’s who, communication expenses, etc. incurred in connection with organising the visit, a delegation fee of Rs. 50,000/- ( + Service Tax @ 12.36 %) per person is being charged. The participants will have to bear their travel & accommodation expenses.
