TAFE wins Corporate Citizen
Award at Global PR Conclave
New Delhi, February
25, 2013: India’s second largest tractor maker TAFE has been felicitated with the
prestigious Corporate Citizen of the Year Award at a Global PR Conclave hosted
by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) in Hyderabad over the weekend.
This was part of PRCI’s Chanakya series of awards, which are given
annually to corporate achievers in recognition of their contribution to the
profession, industry and the society.
TAFE’s Corporate Citizenship activities focus on inclusive community
development, spanning health, education, and environment sectors. Every
initiative aims at mutual enrichment by creating shared value and by empowering
the lives of the communities and the environment it operates in.
As a corporation, the company’s efforts have always focused on the two
forces that form the bedrock of its business: the farming community and the
earth. As part of the CSR activities relating to the first - the farming
community, TAFE ensures that its relationship with the farmer does not end with
the tractor.
The award was received by TAFE’s Corporate
Communications Team, on behalf of the company. Mr. Vijayakumar Browning,
General Manager – Corporate Communications, TAFE said ”We are happy to receive
this award for our long term commitment as a corporate entity to society in
general and the farming community in particular. Our responsibility to society
and the environment is enshrined in our core values and is a part of all that
we do in our organisation.”
TAFE has also won several Communication Collaterals Awards at PRCI’s
annual awards presented at the conclave for Corporate Ad (Language), Corporate Citizenship Brochure,
Corporate Brochure, Corporate Event and Online Newsletter- TAFE CAFE.
