Iran quake: Displaced 16,000 people to camps

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad ordered officials to start rebuilding immediately but the work may be difficult due to the widespread destruction, in order to affected people  immediate need of dwelling units  are people shifted to temporary camps.Official reports put quake hit area displaced  16,000 people and are living in camps, temporary tents amid aftershocks.

Iranian officials said the death toll from Saturday's earthquakes will rise to nearly 300 people.
Iranian government officials are shifting from rescue operations to rebuilding in the disaster-affected areas.
The magnitude 6.4 and 6.3 earthquakes hit the northwestern province of East Azerbaijan. 20 villages were devastated in the mountainous area near the focus, with many of the buildings destroyed.

Iran's interior minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar announced earlier that 227 people were killed in the quakes. But local authorities say the death toll will reach about 300.
