Dear Mr. Sagar,

I gives me great pleasure to invite you to the Dissemination Workshop on Non-Tariff Barriers affecting bilateral trade relations among SAARC countries. This event is jointly sponsored by the Centre for Policy Research and the Asia Foundation. A series of micro studies were undertaken under the Challenge Fund initiative of which two were coordinated by the Centre for Policy Research: one on Indo-Sri Lanka FTA and the other on NTBs pertaining to trade in textiles and agriculture between India and Pakistan. These studies have looked at non-tariff and political economy issues that affect free trade between countries of the SAARC region. The initiative comes to an end now and we are taking the opportunity to both disseminate the key findings from the study as well as bring together multiple stakeholders from think tanks, academicians, government and business community to find solutions to these non-tariff issues.

The event is being organised on 10 March 2015 at the Taj Mansingh Hotel (Hall: Villa Medici) from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm  followed by lunch. Given your interest in matters related to SAARC your presence and participation would be much appreciated. I attach the Concept Note and draft Agenda for your reference.

A line of confirmation would be useful for us.

Warm regards
Rajiv Kumar
