Dear Colleague,
It is a pleasure for me to invite you for the India’s National Competitiveness Forum (NCF) and Porter Prize event on September 26, 2014 at Radisson Blu Plaza, Mahipalpur, Delhi. The gathering kick starts in the morning at 0800 hrs with registrations and breakfast, followed by keynotes, panel discussions, awards ceremony and closes over dinner. Keynote Address: Prof. Michael E. Porter*

Michael E. Porter is a leading authority on competitive strategy, competitiveness and economic development of nations, states and regions, and the application of competitive principles to social problems such as health care, environment and corporate responsibility. Professor Porter has been identified in a variety of rankings and surveys as the world’s most influential thinker on management and competitiveness.
Porter Prize*
Porter Prize is named after the renowned Harvard faculty member, Father of the modern strategic field and Thinker Professor Michael E. Porter. The central idea of the Porter Prize is to propel companies to compete on the basis of value creation, innovation and strategy. Similar to prior years, we are recognizing organizations operating in India who have shown exemplary strategic acumen under the categories such as distinctive positioning, tradeoffs, fit, industry architectural shift, creating shared value and healthcare.
This year we have had some exceptional applications from corporations like Hindustan Unilever, Yes Bank, Sobha Developers, DHL Express India, Dow Chemicals, Tech Mahindra, National Insurance Limited, Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited, CESC Limited et al. Recipients of the prestigious Porter Prize award in the past years were Bharti Airtel, GroupM, Godrej Industries, HDFC Life, MakeMyTrip, Mother Diary, ICICI Lombard, Uninor etc.
India’s National Competitiveness Forum
The India’s National Competitiveness Forum looks at bringing private sector leaders, renowned thinkers and civil society leader on a common platform to discuss the solutions to the pressing and emerging issues the country faces at this time. This year the conference would focus on issues pertaining to Economic Geography & Competitiveness, Technology & Competitiveness, Enabling Industrial development and Realigning Institutions. The conference chairs are Deborah L. Wince-Smith, Ray O. Johnson and Wilfried Aulbur and some other renowned experts are going to share their views at the conference.
