National Day of Romania
The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Romania on the eve of their National Day (December 01, 2015).
In his message to His Excellency Mr. Klaus Iohannis, President of Romania, the President has said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me immense pleasure to send you and to the people of Romania warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day.
Indo-Romanian relations are time-tested and have grown from strength to strength over the decades. We are confident that with the several initiatives taken by our two Governments, our bilateral cooperation in a number of sectors as well as in the international fora will continue to be strengthened.
Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and personal well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Romania.”
100 people rescued from Singapore-bound sinking boat
Nearly 100 people were rescued when a Singapore-bound boat hit a floating object and started to sink near the Indonesian island of Batam. Singapore’s Maritime and Port Authority today said they received a report last night that the ferry hit the object after leaving Batam, one of the popular resort islands about 40 minute ride from Singapore. It said Ferry operator Batamfast called out two other ferries that rescued all 90 passengers and seven crew and took them back to the terminal in Batam. All the passengers are accounted for.

India has already submitted its Intended Nationally Determined Contributions ( INDC) in which India has committed to generate 100 giga watt solar power energy by 2022.
To give concrete shape to this idea, Mr Modi along with French president Francois Hollande will launch the alliance in presence of Ban Ki Moon today at 1700 hrs in le bourget. A number of head of states and governments are expected to be present at the event.
There are well over 100 countries which are solar rich lying fully or partially between the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn. These countries– all potential members of alliance– are united by the shared vision to bring clean, affordable and renewable solar energy within the reach of all.
The objective of the solar alliance is to augment solar power generation in these countries with a view to contribute global sustainable development.

Brazil mine disaster: 13 die
In Brazil, thirteen people died and six remain missing after the massive mine disaster. The BHP Billiton said, emergency services in Brazil continue to search for the missing people and operations at the Samarco mine remain suspended.
The mine is jointly owned by BHP Billiton and Brazilian miner Vale. They have set up a fund to help authorities clean up the area and affected rivers.

Comments on imposing anti dumping duty on imports products from Bangladesh,Nepal

Ministry of Commerce and Industry Inviting Comments on imposing anti dumping duty on imports of jute products from Bangladesh and Nepal
This is for your kind intimation that the Government has found sufficient prima facie evidence of dumping of the “Jute Products” , originating in or exported from Bangladesh and Nepal , injury to the domestic industry and a casual link between the alleged dumping and injury exist to justify initiation of an anti dumping investigations.
The designated authority (Directorate General of Anti Dumping & Allied Duties) therefore hereby initiates investigation into the alleged dumping and consequent injury to the domestic industry in terms of Rule 5 of the Rules to determine the existence , degree and effect of the alleged dumping and to recommend the amount of anti dumping duty, which if levied would be adequate to remove the ‘injury’ to the domestic industry.
In this regard, Ministry of Commerce and Industry has invited the stakeholders of the concerned industry to submit the information relevant to the investigations in the following prescribed manner:
In order to make any submission (including Appendices/Annexure attached thereto) are required to file the same in two separate sets :
a. One set marked as Confidential (with title, number of pages, index etc.)
b. the other set marked as Non –confidential (with title, number of pages, index, etc.)
The “Confidential “ or “non-confidential” submission must be clearly marked as “confidential “ or “non-confidential” at the top of each page.
For information claimed as confidential , the supplier of the information is required to provide a good cause statement along with the supplied information as to why such information can not be disclosed.

India comfortably goes through to the finals of the 8th Junior Men’s Asia Cup
Kuantan, Malaysia, 21st November 2015: Indian Junior Men’s Hockey team booked a berth in the final of the 8th Junior Men’s Asia Cup with a 6-1 win over Japan in the semi –finals. The match marked India’s second win over Japan in the tournament.
India started the first half with their usual flair and attacking play and within the first 12 minutes India opened their account through a field goal from Mandeep Singh.
Manpreet (jr.) added another goal to India’s tally in the next minute to take India 2-0 up in the semi -final. India didn’t look back after this and continued with their goal fest as Harmanpreet scored his 10th goal of the tournament from a penalty corner giving India a comfortable 3-0 lead. Vikramjit Singh’s field goal in the 27th minute consolidated India’s lead in the game. The first half ended with the score at 4-0 in India’s favour.
Japan started the second half with an attacking intent and was rewarded with a penalty corner which was converted by Yamada Shota giving Japan a much needed breather. However India struck back fiercely in the 48th minute through a penalty corner conversion by Harmanpreet Singh taking his tally to 11 goals in the tournament. The margin of the win was extended even further with Varun Kumar scoring from a penalty corner to make it 6-1 in India’s favour and booking a berth for India in the finals.
“The boys played really well making it a great day for us in the tournament. We are one step away from winning the tournament and it is the time when we all need to keep our calm. The team is well drilled and hungry for more. We will take the next match as any other normal game and focus on putting up a good tight show” said Harendra Singh, Coach, Indian Junior Men’s Hockey Team
India will play the winner of the semi –final between Pakistan and Korea tomorrow at Wisma Belia Hockey Stadium in Kuantan, Malaysia.
