European and African leaders are meeting in Malta to discuss how to stem the flow of migrants from African countries. The European Commission is offering nearly two billion dollars towards a fund to encourage people not to undertake sea journey to Europe.
European Union’s Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini said, huge stride has already been made to persuade countries that the migration crisis require a unified approach.
African leaders stressed that Europe must be prepared to co-operate, rather than dictate a solution.
