Ajit Singh sworn in today the Federal Minister

Ahead of the important  Uttar Pradesh elections due the RLD, having its  base in the western part of the state UPA II invited RLD joining the ruling coalition.

RLD chief Ajit Singh sworn in today as a Federal minister in the Manmohan Singh government thus lending strength to UPA from 272 to 277.

 Dr Singh,the Prime Minister,UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, attended the swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrpati Bhavan also present were senior cabinet ministers like P Chidambaram, Kapil Sibal and Beni Prasad Verma. Vayalar Ravi, the current Civil Aviation Minister, was conspicuous by his absence.
