When Satlej River breached at 2-3 places in floods situation of over 2
lakh cusecs in 2008 that too Caused by Corrupt BBMB who cut power
generation in April-May-June peak months so that Jindal, Ambani & Tata
may sell their power at Rs.10 to Rs.19 per unit and Bhakra Dam and
Pong Dams were Full in MID SEASON August13, 2008 and floods overflowed
the dams.
But Punjab farmers realized neither BBMB nor Punjab Irrigation was
serious in plugging the breaches – farmers united under Sant
Seenchewala and plugged the Breaches in 24 hours without waiting for
floods to recede.
Munak Canals of 475 cusecs & 215 cusecs capacity only not carrying
water, may be repaired in 14 days – 336 hrs.
Haryana Irrigation & CWC are Grossly Incompetent required 3-4 days to
repair Irrigation Canals of 5000 cusecs to 10,000 cusecs capacity in
2010 floods.
Can’t understand why they are Not Serious in Plugging the Lifeline of
17 million people of Delhi?
