At a time when the Capital in enraged over issues of breach of women safety and authorities like Delhi Police facing public criticism and ire of the people on the street, the Hon. LG office in Delhi under instructions from Central government has attempted the thwart the appointment of Delhi Commission of Women Chief.
Citing procedural lapses, attempts have been made the decline Delhi Government to run and appoint members to the crucial Delhi Commission of Women. The Hon. LG';s office has acted as an extension of the Central government led by the BJP when it publicly criticized and declined permissions to the new DCW chief.
The people of Delhi brought Aam Aadmi Party government with an overwhelming majority to protect their aspirations and democratic rights and values from the corrupt elements in politics. The Central government through the office of Hon. LG is trying to undermine the democratic mandate of the people through its action.
