A new book by one of the journalists who broke the story about the United States spying on friendly nations will be published this month with more revelations.
Glenn Greenwald originally covered the story for the UK's Guardian newspaper based on the information gathered by former US National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden.
Greenwald's book is said to contain new information on Japan among other nations. It is said that Snowden worked in Japan as an employee of a major US computer manufacturer between 2009 and 2011.
He gathered information for the NSA but secretly downloaded what he could as he had concerns about the NSA's activities.
One of the documents dated September 10th 2010 lists facilities from which the NSA was intercepting information.
