Thousands of Brazilians on Sunday demonstrated near a venue for the final of the Confederations Cup soccer tournament in Rio de Janeiro.About 5,000 anti-government demonstrators marched toward the stadium where Brazil's national team was playing against Spain.The demonstration was the latest in a wave of protests calling for the government to spend more on welfare and education and less on building soccer stadiums for next year's World Cup finals
Brazil has defeated Spain 3-0, winning football's Confederations Cup. Host beat the world's First-ranked Spain in the final game in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday. It was its 3rd straight Confederations Cup championship.
Brazil's Fred scored just after the beginning of each half while his teammate Neymar scored one minute before halftime. Neymar was selected the man-of-the-match.
Brazil, which will host next year's World Cup finals, ended Spain's 29-game unbeaten run since the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.
