TRADERS HAVE BEEN ADVISED TO EDUCATE CUSTOMERS ON SAME LINE
Taking into consideration the smog that has engulfed the city and expressing concern over likely increase in pollution on Diwali due to fire crackers, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) while extending a helping hand to Delhi Government, has advised the traders of Delhi through a communication sent to more than 1000 small and big Trade Associations and Federations in all parts of Delhi to" go for environmental friendly crackers at least in their respective families in order to save environment with any more pollution."-said CAIT National Secretary General Mr. Praveen Khandelwal and Delhi State President Shri Narender Madan today at New Delhi. The CAIT has also advised Traders to educate their respective customers also on the same line.
Both Mr. Khandelwal and Mr. Madan while advising the traders to use eco friendly crackers said that being a citizen of Delhi, the traders do have a responsibility to participate in any drive that educate the people about the ill effects of crackers in increasing pollution and how it is hazardeous to health. Accordingly, the CAIT while launching a silent drive in the capital has advised the traders that in next three days while making a sale in their respective shops, they must educate their customers about hazardeous results of burning the crackers and prevail upon them to use eco friendly and smokeless crackers." Let us be a part of making Delhi a city for better living"-said Mr. Khandelwal.
In Delhi, there are about more than 5 lakh traders in all parts of Delhi who can play a vital role in suck kind of educational drive.
The CAIT leaders also said that the citizens in majority are unaware about the eco friendly crackers and strategic efforts are needed to educate them about eco friendly and smokeless crackers. The adoption of use of such crackers will enable us to create a pollution free environment for future generations. The eco friendly crackers generate reasonable sound and create effective colourful scene to be enjoyed by one and all. Such crackers are less expensive than traditional crackers. Therefore, the CAIT has taken this initiative on its own for the first time this year but from next years it will be on the priority of the agenda of CAIT and we will arouse awareness among people through crores and crores people of the country through shopkeepers. Any assistance from the Government will be appreciated-said Mr. Khandelwal and Mr. Madan
In a seperate communication sent to more than 5000 Trade Associations and Federations across the Country, the CAIT National President Mr. B. C. Bhartia and Secretary General Mr. Praveen Khandelwal has made similar appeal to the traders of the Country as well to use eco-friendly crackers at least in their own families and educate their customers to use the same.
