 US President Barack Obama has dismissed warnings about Iran's nuclear programme made by the Israeli prime minister during a controversial speech to the US Congress. Mr Obama said, Benjamin Netanyahu had failed to offer any viable alternatives. Mr Netanyahu strongly criticized the deal being negotiated between western powers and Iran, claiming it could pave its way to the bomb rather than block it. The US Secretary of State, John Kerry is to travel to Saudi Arabia to reassure gulf states that any deal would not strengthen Iran's position in the region. |
