National Council unanimously rejected National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation.

National Council of the Aam Aadmi Party met on Saturday, March 28, 2015 and it took the following decisions and resolutions:
1.     The meeting began with the address of National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who outlined the political and organizational developments since the last National Council meet. During his address Mr. Kejriwal mentioned in detail about the Delhi Assembly elections, which gave the party an unprecedented mandate.
2.     Following his address, a written resolution was presented to recall Mr. Yogendra Yadav, Mr. Prashant Bhushan, Mr. Anand Kumar and Mr. Ajit Jha from the National Executive for their anti-party activities.  This written resolution signed by 167 members of the National Council was presented to the chair and was put to vote. The result of the voting is as follows:

a)    Out of a total of 392 member of the National Council, 311 attended the meet.
b)   247 members voted in favour of the resolution to recall the four above mentioned members from the National Executive and signed the resolution.
c)    8 members voted against the resolution
d)   2 members filed written dissent
e)    54 members did not participate in voting, it includes those who walked out.
3.     The National Council decided that the party would organize a protest against the Land Acquisition Ordinance outside Parliament on April 22.
4.     The National Council unanimously rejected National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation.
5.     The National Council has also authorized the PAC to take disciplinary action against any member who, without authorization, issues media statement against party line and decisions in a bid to tarnish the party’s image.
6.     The National Council also decided that Council members, except District Convenors, could give their names to party’s National Secretary for organizational work with a detailed brief about their work. The PAC will accommodate these names in committees with a PAC member as Organizing Member of the committee.
7.     The NC also decided to set committees to address the following issues:
A)   Organization building across India
B)   Volunteer engagement and their participation in decision making
C)   Suggestion to Delhi government and their implementation
D)   Contesting Elections in different states
E)   Land Acquisition Ordinance Bill
