Bhopal Municipal Corporation civic body to deploy a e-governance project which is to cost Rs 10.75 crore in association with SAP for the betterment in quality of life. This project second of this nature costing Rs 10.75 crore project which is including maintenance cost of nearly Rs 4 crore over a period of five years will bring the municipality to bring sea change in quality of life of its citizens through better administration and citizen services. Technology at its best the IT solutions from SAP to automate, aqnd govern public service offerings for BMC.
These civic services are available in Hindi, these solutions help BMC manage and streamline day-to-day affairs with ease viz include issuing marriage certificates, birth and death registrations, city infrastructure development and open space management, including roads, parking, traffic signals, community halls and schools.The solutions too streamline permits, health services, water supply, lake conservation and tax collection, among other services. While briefing media Tejaswi Naik, commissioner, Bhopal Municipal Corporation, said: “With the adoption of this technology, we are quickly transforming into one of India’s first Municipal Corporations to formulate, promote and leverage technology at a grassroots level for the benefit of citizens in general and, specifically, the underprivileged.”
His ideation to explain the media questions on some critical moot points on governance were praiseworthy to bring city management to next order.

Tiny ‘Nanoflares’ May Solve Sun Mystery

Scientists have found that the sun’s outer atmosphere, or corona, can reach temperatures 1,000 times higher than those at the surface of the star, but solar physicists previously had no explanation for why this temperature discrepancy is so great. Now, researchers think the relatively tiny flares may be the “smoking gun” that explains this mysterious cosmic occurrence.
The new study provides the first direct proof that nanoflares keep the sun’s corona at a temperature of millions of degrees, far hotter than the sun’s visible surface, which is about 6,000 degrees Kelvin (10,000 degrees Fahrenheit). [The Biggest Solar Flares of 2014: Photos]
Scientists think that smaller solar flares called “nanoflares” are responsible for the extreme heating of the sun’s outer atmosphere.
“The nanoflare model has been around for a while,” said Jeffrey Brosius, a solar physicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland “With better instrumentation, we were hoping to find the evidence that was predicted by the model.”
Nanoflares happen because of huge magnetic fields located throughout the sun’s corona. These loops are anchored in the photosphere, the sun’s visible surface, but move around due to turbulence in the photosphere. Sometimes the field lines cross, and they become twisted and tangled.
When this happens in the presence of plasma, current sheets form, and the “stress” builds until the magnetic field “breaks,” releasing lots of energy very quickly. This kind of crossing of magnetic fields can happen thousands of times a second over the whole solar surface, and this transfers energy to the plasma in the corona. This weekly show will launch on Sunday, 24th August at 7 pm on Star Plus. Contenders from across the country with their unique singing styles will battle it out to become India’s Raw Star. Yo Yo Honey Singh will be a friend, mentor and guide of the contestants. The show will be hosted by the gorgeous Gauhar Khan, who is also a huge fan of Yo Yo Honey Singh.
Everything about this show is different and unconventional.
Unlike all other reality shows, where the audition process involves standing in long queues, India’s Raw Star conducted the first ever digital only auditions. People from all over the world sent in their video entries, which were personally scanned by Yo Yo Honey Singh and his team. The show won’t have the standard 3 member judging panel, nor a Jodi of funny hosts and definitely no contestants who only know how to rehash popular Bollywood songs. Everything about this show will surprise you!
The look and feel of the show will be a visual treat for the viewers. They will also for the first time get to watch these performers sing original songs, which have been composed and written by them.
For the first time ever, an Indian singing show will introduce the concept of music choreography! Star Plus has roped in international choreographer Michael Schwandtl who has worked with artistes such as Katy Perry and Lady Gaga on their performances. He will work with the contestants to visually enhance their singing performance and make it a delight for viewers to watch. The show also has the celebrated Ashish Manchanda on board who will be heading the sound team. Ashish is the only Indian sound engineer to have worked with Michael Jackson and has worked on a number of international music shows.
