BJP President Nitin Gadkari
Felicitated in Canada

New Delhi, 1st Sep 2012: Convenor OFBJP & Ex. MLA Delhi Shri. Vijay Jolly today in a statement announced that BJP President Shri. Nitin Gadkari was honored and felicitated in Canada by non resident Indians at a public program organized in Vancouver.

It may be recalled that Mr. Gadkari along with his wife & family members is on a brief private visit to Canada.

OFBJP leader Mr. Jolly stated that Vancouver chapter of OFBJP organized a public meeting at down town located “Salam Bombay” banquet hall on Thursday, 30th Aug 2012 at 7.30 P.M.  (Canadian Standard Time). The program was presided by OFBJP Vancouver Convenor Mr. Aditya Tewatia.

The public meeting to honor Mr. Gadkari was attended by prominent NRI’s, businessman, local politicians, lawyers and community leaders along with media friends in Canada. Mr. Ujjal Dausanjh, 33rd Premier of British Columbia & Former Minister of Health in Canadian Govt., Ms. Nina Grewal, ruling Conservative Party MP from Surrey, Sardar Gurmant Grewal Ex MP, Mr. Kash Heed, local MLA Fraserview, Mr. Ravi Shankar, Counsel General of India in Vancouver, Mr. Balwant Singh Gill President Hindu Sikh Forum North America, Sardar Balbir Singh Chingara President Gurdwara Singh Sabha rock street, Canada –India Club President Mr. Kulwant Shekhon, Shankar Chaudhary from VHP, Purushottam Goel President Hindu Temple Surrey and Amit Chillar owner of Landmark Group of Companies attended the program.   

Mr. Gadkari was presented a shawl and a saropa at this felicitation program in Vancouver stated Mr. Jolly.
