PIF: “Facilitating Policy Change.”
Dear Mr. Sagar
Greetings from Pahle India Foundation (PIF)!
Pahle India Foundation is a not for profit policy think tank, established in June 2013 as a Section 8 company. PIF’s motto is “Facilitating Policy Change.”PIF is committed to enriching the public discourse and also to influence policy formulation that will help India successfully complete its triple transition in economic, political and social fields.
It is observed that SMEs in India have significant potential to save energy by way of adopting best practices and upgrading their operating infrastructure. This will not only translate into higher profitability, but the reduction in operating costs will also further these enterprises’ competitiveness. We believe that interventions such as funding of green clusters, power credits for efficient utilisation, and periodic audits would eventually translate into improved energy intensity of the Indian economy.
With this in mind, Pahle India Foundation and YES Global Institute have come together to organise a monthly seminar series, “PIF-YGI Monthly Seminar Series on MSMEs.” The objective of the Seminar Series is to contribute to policy advancement in this important area, by marshalling the available expertise and experience and publishing the proceedings as Policy Briefs.
We are writing to invite you to the eighth seminar of the series, “Building Energy Efficient SMEs” to be held in New Delhi on April 19, 2018 at Seminar Hall 2 & 3, India International Centre, 40, Max Mueller Marg, New Delhi – 110 003, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
We hope to submit a policy brief that summarises the discussion, to the regulators and respective government departments, to try and push the policy forward.
A line in confirmation of your participation to anil.kumar@pahleindia.orgwill be greatly appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you.
