Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi receives visitors in office---Saudi Arabia Ambassador,A J&K Minister and A delegation from Ajmer Sharif
The Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs (Independent Charge) & Parliamentary Affairs Shri Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Saudi Arabia Ambassador in India Dr Saud Mohammed Alsati today met here and discussed about facilities provided to Haj pilgrims from India. This year, about 1 lakh 30 thousand Haj pilgrims will be proceeding to Saudi Arabia for Haj.
Shri Naqvi expressed gratitude to the Saudi Arabia Government through Dr Alsati for their cooperation in protecting interests of Indian workers in Saudi Arabia.He said that relations of India and Saudi Arabia are decades old and bilateral ties have received new heights under NDA Government.
In a separate meeting, Shri Naqvi also met Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Haj and Waqf Shri Farooq Ahmad Andrabi and discussed issues related to education and employment in Jammu and Kashmir.Shri Naqvi said that the NDA Government is committed to socio-economic-educational development of poor, weaker sections, minorities.
Shri Naqvi said that Jammu and Kashmir has been joining mainstream development process with a great speed. But the nation have to be careful to defeat the forces which want to destroy peace and progress in the state.
A delegation of Ajmer Sharif Dargah, led by Gaddi Nashin of Ajmer Sharif Dargah Syed Fakhar Kazmi Chisty also met Shri Naqvi. Issues related to the Dargah were discussed in the meeting. The delegation also lauded the measures taken by the Narendra Modi Government for empowerment of minorities.
