2015 INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH TO DEAL WITH DEPRESSION
The 4th Delhi International Film Festival just got over and the city is already busy with it’s another festival that is going to happen from 21st December- 27th December in Sri Fort Auditorium, Delhi.
These days’ youngsters come up with a lot of problems and major one being Depression. Be it over studies or personal matters, coming out of depression is a hard thing. This year, the Smile Foundation chose to screen the films based on this issue. Out of 80 films to be screened in a weeklong festival, many films will be showcased to deal with problems such as depression, Anxiety and many others.
The Festival is aimed just not for the children and youth but for their parents too. There are films which will help the children and the parents in bridging the communication gap. The Russian film ‘Celestial Camel’ which has been screened and appreciated in many other film festivals has been chosen as the opening film besides ‘My Friend Raffi’, ‘Blue Mountain’, ‘A Christmoose Story’ and many others.
The National award winning film Director Mr. Tigmanshu Dhulia who gave us films like ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster Returns’and many others will be inaugurating the opening ceremony on 21st December at SiriFort Auditorium.Many children from different NGO’s will be a part of it. Street children will also be entertained and will be providing workshops for free.
