One billion people will rise, dance, and demand justice at events across India and the world tomorrow. I will rise with them.

 
Dear Naresh -
As an actor and as a woman, I witness and experience various forms of violence against women.
However, I was shocked to learn that almost onebillion women and girls suffer violence in the world. And it goes on within our homes and communities. I believe this needs to end.
Which is why I decided to be a part of the ‘One Billion Rising’ event - a global call to women survivors of violence and those who love them to rise for justice.
Tomorrow, women and men will rise, dance, and demand justice at events across India and the world. I will rise with them. Naresh, I hope you will join us.

Naresh, violence against women cannot be wiped away within a day. Is there an issue of injustice against women you would like to change?
Start a petition and mobilise people towards your cause. Together we shall challenge violence, demand justice and fight to win.
Our country and this world needs people like you and me demanding justice. It needs all of us to continue to challenge it with the hope that one day, violence will be a nightmare of the past.
